Dr. LaSalle-Ricci is a New York native, now serving the psychological needs of patients in Palm Beach County.  She completed specialized training at Georgetown University, Georgetown University Medical Center, Catholic University and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including counseling centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, medical centers, and community mental health clinics.

Dr. LaSalle-Ricci worked as a researcher for many years and published several papers on health psychology, psychiatric comorbidity, OCD, and hoarding. She also taught courses in statistics and psychology on the undergraduate level.

Dr. LaSalle-Ricci is dedicated to giving back to the community. She allots 8 appointments per month for pro bono patients who are unable to afford the specialized treatments she provides. She also accepts new unwrapped toys that are delivered to Miami’s children’s hospital monthly.

ana-luz-r-rashadAna Luz R. Rashad, LCSW – Couples and Family Therapist

Ana Luz R. Rashad recently relocated to Palm Beach County after running a thriving private practice in Miami. She is the newest member of Ricci Psychology as the child, couples, and family therapist of the group. Ana Luz completed her undergraduate degree at Boston University and her master’s degree at New York University. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in family therapy.

Some of Ana Luz’s subspecialties include Gottman centered couples therapy, sex therapy, systemic family therapy, solution-focused therapy, and play therapy with children as young as four. She approaches work as a therapist the same way she approaches life, choosing to emphasize strengths over weakness and using positive reinforcement to endorse change. Ana Luz provides services in both English and Spanish, making her an invaluable resource to our community.

amanda-j-davisAmanda J. Davis, Ph.D.

Dr. Davis specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and associated problems.  Prior to becoming a Floridian in January 2016, Dr. Davis was a staff psychologist at the Columbia Center for Eating Disorders in New York City, where she supported the dual mission of the Center by providing CBT for inpatients and outpatients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and other eating disorders while also supervising the clinical aspects of several research studies on eating disorders and related issues.

As an undergraduate at Princeton University, Dr. Davis became involved in peer education and advocacy to raise awareness about eating concerns on campus, and what started as a volunteer activity quickly grew to be her passion. She later attended Emory University as a George W. Woodruff Fellow and completed her predoctoral internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical Center.  She has co-authored numerous scholarly articles, book chapters, and research presentations on eating disorders, PTSD, and the challenges of conducting clinical research.  She was also a regular contributor to The Feed, the Columbia Center for Eating Disorders’ blog.

Dr. Davis’s approach to psychotherapy integrates the best scientific data with a profound awareness of the uniqueness of every person.

kristie-deblasio-3Kristie DeBlasio, Ph.D.

Dr. Kristie is a native to South Florida and has been practicing locally in Palm Beach County for the past 8 years. She completed her training at Elon University in North Carolina and Loyola University in Baltimore, where she also worked at the National Institutes for Health (NIH) and Johns Hopkins Hospital. She returned home to complete her Doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale.

Dr. Kristie has provided therapy and conducted research in a variety of clinical settings, including mental health clinics, counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, and medical centers. She was also the Clinical Director of a dual-diagnosis facility where she had the opportunity to help patients overcome the effects of chemical dependency and substance abuse. Her approaches involve a combination of techniques, including: Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Inner Child Healing, as well as Family Systems and Gestalt Therapies. She helps individuals suffering from PTSD and trauma, abandonment, codependency, behavior disorders, anxiety, depression and dysfunctional relationship dynamics. Dr. Kristie also enjoys helping women address stage of life transitions and supporting adolescents and young adults through social and developmental concerns. Additionally, this includes conducting psychoeducational and psychological assessments.

cheryl hansonCheryl McDermott

Cheryl is originally from New Jersey and has been living in Florida for the past five years. She received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  From 2003-2011 Cheryl toured around the continental US and Scotland pursuing a career in technical theater.

For the past year, Cheryl has been the Office Manager of a Recovery and Detox Center and its adjoining Bio Lab. While there, Cheryl was able to learn the ins and outs of patient care, billing, and medical management. These skills have proven to be invaluable in the private sector as well. 

 As the new Office Manager at Ricci Psychology of the Palm Beaches, Cheryl is available to assist with everything from booking appointments to arranging payments and more.

Amanda J. Davis recently joined the team of clinical psychologists at Ricci Psychology of the Palm Beaches in Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. Davis is a New Jersey native who trained at Princeton University, Emory University, and Weill-Cornell Medical Center.

Before moving to Florida, she was employed as a clinician and researcher at the Columbia Center for Eating Disorders in New York City. She specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy for disordered eating, anxiety, and depression. She also offers testing and consultation services.
